French Transport Minister Jean-Claude Gayssot has stated that the government has received at least two 'very very serious' offers for buying the AOM/Air Liberte airline group. Some five offers for the airline group have apparently been made, but last week the group's administrators indicated that none of those proposals were feasible. Ten other bids for buying parts of AOM/Air Liberte were also received. Gayssot told the Europe 1 radio station that he wants the group to be sold whole and indicated that although there were two serious bids submitted, it was up to the commercial courts to decide. Bidders have another week to refine their offers. - COPYRIGHT 2001 M2 Communications Ltd. - COPYRIGHT 2001 Gale Group -
